BESTSELLING AUTHOR WITH HISTORICAL WIN

The purpose of one of Canada’s oldest literary awards is to encourage the study and interpretation of the history of Manitoba. In its celebration of one of Winnipeg’s most colourful and distinctive areas, Russ Gourluck’s The Mosaic Village, An Illustrated History of Winnipeg’s North End certainly accomplished this. Congratulations Russ on receiving one of the 2010 Margaret McWilliams Awards!

The 2011 JNF Negev Gala Concert, held on May 31st, was a great celebration
of Manitoba’s special relationship with Israel, and will further those ties
by funding research in Oak Hammock Marsh in Manitoba and its sister marsh in

New Fun!

JUNE 2011

On Saturday, June 4 at 10AM sharp, construction ground to a halt at the Children’s Museum at The Forks as dozens gathered to watch a rather unusual scene. Bagpiper Jimm Simon, surrounded by a cast a colourful characters including The Mayor, The Artist, Field Trip Kid, and The Conductor, lead a procession featuring two very special guests to the front of the line at today’s Grand Opening event.
