Relish is delighted to be awarded a contract for graphic design and website development for the corporation Festival du Voyageur Inc. and its companies – Fort Gibraltar, the 2008 Festival du Voyageur and River Trail.
This annual celebration highlights Canada’s fur trade era. For 10 days in February, the joie de vivre of the voyageurs comes together to host wonderful shows, delicious traditional dishes and numerous exhibits. The events take place in Saint-Boniface, the historic French quarter of Winnipeg. Activities abound at Fort Gibraltar, a reconstruction of the original fort that was at the centre of fur trading and the main site of the festival. Marked by the liveliness and joie de vivre of the voyageurs, this unique event displays the beauty of winter through its numerous historical and family-oriented activities.
Festival du Voyageur welcomes more than 160 000 visitors each year. It has an annual economic impact of over 5.3 million dollars for the city of Winnipeg and over 6.2 million dollars for the province of Manitoba.
